opinions on the Colt M1911a1 Stainless Steel?

I've owned a Colt M1911a1 for a couple of years now. What I can tell you is that there's a reason it's been around so long. Great firearm, durable and comfortable to shoot.

Couldn't agree more, it's a faithful companion. But it does require diligent cleaning and maintenance, especially if you're going to shoot it a lot.

As an owner for 5 years, one tip I can give you is to take extra care in maintaining it. The stainless steel has a tendency to show scratches. But overall, I love the model.
