is There a Real Difference in Quality Between Regular and Stainless Steel Deck Screws?
#1
I'm thinking about replacing some parts of my deck and considering the use of stainless steel screws. Any pros and cons?

Absolutely, the main advantage is they are resistant to rust and staining. In salty or humid climates, it's a no-brainer.

From my experience, they do cost more than regular screws but well worth it. Especially if you are planning to keep the deck for a long time!

A minor con may be if you screw them in too tight, they can snap. But that's the same for all metal screws, not just Ss ones.
