'is 310 Stainless Steel Tubing the Best Choice for Casting? '
#1
Hello folks! I'm considering switching to 310 stainless steel tubing for casting in my new project. My vendor tells m'it's a great choice for high temperatures, but I'd love to get more opinions.

Greetings. I've personally had excellent experiences with 310. It has superior oxidation resistance in my applications involving extreme heat. It also holds up well under cyclic heating.

I second that. 310 stainless steel is daily drivers for our casting operations. Worth every penny.

On the other hand, do consider that its high cost might not be justified unless your project requires resistance to high temperatures or oxidation. It really seems to depend on the exact needs of your project.
