Considering Clamp-on Stainless Steel Rod Holders: Are They Worth the Investment?

I was skeptical at first too, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how stable clamp-on rod holders are. As long as you install them properly and tighten the clamps securely, they can withstand quite a bit of movement. Of course, in really rough conditions, nothing beats being vigilant, but overall, they're reliable.
