Hey, folks! I've been doing a Diy project at home recently. It's a 20 oz stainless steel coffee mug casting. I've been experiencing some difficulties in working with the metal due to its thickness and strength. Anyone had similar experiences?

Yeah, I've tried stainless steel casting as a part of my hobby projects. The challenges you are experiencing are quite common actually. Are you preheating your mold?

I'd echo what said. Preheating is important. Also, you might want to look at pressure casting, helps quite significantly when you're working with stainless steel.

Absolutely agree and. Additionally, do check the quality of the stainless steel. It also matters in the final outcome.
