I would say yes. It protects your sink and utensils from scratches. I also like the elevated platform it provides while washing dishes.

I agree. But also make sure you clean the grid regularly to avoid any buildup.

There's also the potential for it to trap food and other small particles, which could lead to unpleasant smells. I had that experience and decided to remove my sink grid.

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I've had my stainless steel sink for a few years without a grid and no issues so far! It's held up really well.
