I'm considering purchasing a 50 gallon stainless steel water tank for my cabin. Any pros or cons I should know about?
Stainless steel tanks are usually more expensive upfront but they are more durable so that's worth it to me.
They're also very hygienic! They don't allow light penetration which means less chance of bacteria growth.
Keep in mind though; depending on your water, you might need to test for metal corrosion over time.
Also, stainless steel tanks are quite heavy. Make sure you've got a strong support system!
