It's durable and corrosion-resistant, so that's a pro. Definitely long-lasting.

Yeah, but stainless steel can be a bit hard to work with initially. Very rigid and might need a bit more preparation and handling.

I worked with stainless steel dowel pins. The outcome was really good. But yes, as pointed out, initial handling and preparation take some time.

Don't forget, stainless steel is fairly pricier when compared to other materials. But in my opinion, the durability really pays off in the long run.
