I have used 18-8 stainless steel in multiple projects. It offers excellent corrosion resistance. Great for outdoor uses!

It also has good characteristics when it comes to fabrication. However, it's not the best choice if you require high strength.

I agree and. You should also remember, it is not magnetic, in case that is a factor in your project.
