Hello! I'm trying to cast stainless steel bottle stoppers at home but I'm having some trouble. Can anyone share their experiences with me?
Casting stainless steel can be quite tricky. What type of casting method are you trying to use?
I'm using investment casting. I'm finding it hard to get the details I want.
In my experience, making sure the wax model is perfect before making the ceramic shell was the key when I was casting my stoppers. It really helped in getting the fine details I wanted.
You might want to look into getting a different type of casting equipment if you're having difficulties with details. I shifted to lost wax casting and it significantly improved the details.
