Hi, I've been doing some research and I've noticed that a lot of people recommend 14c28n stainless steel for casting. Can anyone give me some insights on why this is so?
14c28n steel is high in chromium which makes it great for casting. Its composition resists corrosion and it holds its shape even in high temperatures.
Exactly, it also gives pretty neat finishing due to its strength and hardness. However, one must have good control over the casting process to hold its shape.
Been using 14c28n for a while now and I'm quite satisfied with the results. Just make sure you are using it for right application.
